We specialise in sourdough and other slow fermentation breads and treats using stoneground organic flours. We want to make great quality bread more accessible to everyone in Exeter. We have a selection of changing cakes and savoury items available to take away each day. In July 2019 we converted an office into a micro-bakery, where we train volunteers in the craft of real bread while making delicious sourdough for sale and at the end of 2020, thanks to crowdfunding support from the community, we relocated to new premises on Sidwell Street. You can find our bread at The Sidwell Street Bakehouse (178/179 Sidwell Street), St Sidwell’s Community Centre, the Exeter Farmers’ Market on Thursdays, and on the menu at some excellent local cafes and restaurants.
