Joe joined Shillingford Organics as a seasonal worker while studying at Exeter University back in the spring of 2017. He returned again for the following growing season except this time never left and is now part of the team helping manage the growing side of the business. He looks after a range of crops including the leeks, kale, onions, tomatoes and beans and can often be seen at the farmers market, co-ordinating the monthly community meal at Alphington Village Hall or delivering our wholesale orders around Exeter and beyond. On the rare occasions he’s not in Barton Lane he likes going for a walk or cycle with his newborn son, finding a nice pub or standing by a road somewhere in Devon with his thumb out!
